Safari from Cape Town

West Coast Safaris is now offering a Safari daytrip including transfers to and from Cape Town, to cater to those who dont have access to their own vehicle, or would like to travel without any hassle.

You will have access to the transfer vehicle and driver for a total of 8 hours, giving you the option to combine your safari with a lunch in Yzerfontein and/or a walk on the beach.

The daytrip can either be booked around the morning safari, which will require an early morning pickup from Cape Town around 7 am. Or you can choose a more leisurely timing and leave around 10am to join the game drive in the afternoon.

The game drives are in our 9 seater safari Land Rover and expert guided. You will have a chance to see Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, Eland, Kudu, Waterbuck, Hartebeest, Springbok, Ostrich and many of the smaller West Coast Wildlife.

Depending on your preference you can either plan your trip around the morning game drive or the afternoon game drive. 

Your transfer car will be available for you for 8 hours, and as such allows for an hour or 2 of flexibility in your program besides the game drive and Cape Town Transfer. 

When choosing the morning game drive option, you will need to leave Cape Town around 7:00 am, allowing a bit of buffer for you to ensure you get to Yzerfontein in time to join the 9am safari. The safari will finish around mid day after which you will have about 2 hours before you need to head back to Cape Town by 2pm. You can go for a beach walk and/or have lunch in Yzerfontein. If you are in a bit of a rush, you can grab a quick bite at the West Coast Padstal, and head back.

If you would prefer to join the afternoon ride, there is more flexibility in your timing. We suggest that you leave Cape Town at 10, to have 2 hours of leisure/lunch in and around Yzerfontein, before starting your safari at 2pm. Your Game Drive will finish around 5pm, at which time you can head back home in time for dinner.

DON’T FORGET TO BRING:

– A warm top or windbreaker, as the wind can be chilly on the open game drive viewer even in mid-summer

– Sunhat, sunscreen, as you will be outside a lot.

INCLUDED:
