Horseback Safaris

We offer a variety of experiences suitable for any rider. From a bumble on a pony for the little ones, to a short 1.5 hour safari, to extended rides combining your horseback safaris with a ride to the beach.

The benefits of a horse safari include a lack of car noises, allowing you to immerse yourself fully in the bush. Many animals are also more comfortable around horses than around cars, often allowing you to get closer to the animals.

If your group has a number of horse riders and a number of people more keen for a guided game drive, you can split the groups and do both.

Please note there is a minimum of 2 pax per booking to confirm your ride.

The program will depend on what ride duration you choose, but in principle you will drive onto the reserve and up to the horse stables, where you will have a chance to meet the horses and get fitted out with your helmet. 

After your horse has been selected (based on your horseriding experience), you will saddle up and head out for your safari. 

You will be following the lead rider/guide, who will take you around the reserve and onto the beach (if requested).

DON’T FORGET TO BRING:

– A warm top or windbreaker, as the wind can be chilly on the open game drive viewer even in mid-summer

– Sunhat and sunscreen

– Water
